Abstract

The inception and present situation of fishery standardization were described by summarizing the historical background and its development characteristics.The problems facing its development were pointed out and possible countermeasures were put forward.It was proposed that it is necessary to promote the notion of industrialization in fishery modernization and standardization whereas the standardization of fisheries also serves as a prerequisite for the industrialized culture practices.Suggestions and recommendations were also highlighted for the development and implementation of fishery standardization in China.
