Abstract
AIM:To study the efficacy of Panax notoginseng saporins injection in treating acute or chronic cerebral infarction. METHODS: Five hundred and eight two patients with cerebral infarction were divided into two groups randomly, Panax hotoginseng saporins group 291 patients (M 199, F 92; age 60 a± s 5 a) recieved Panax notoginseing saporins injection 400 mg in 500 mL of 5 % glucose or sodium chloride injection iv, drip, qd; ligustrazine group 291 patients (M 198, F 93; age 59 a±7 a) received ligustrazine injection 160 mg in 500 mL of 5% glucose or sodium chloride injection iv. drip, qd. The two groups showed the same therapeutic time as 30 d. RESULTS: The total response rate in the Panax notoginseing saporins injection group( 95.2 % ) was higher than that in the ligustrazine group (82.1 %,P0.05). In addition, the former improved cerebrovasular hemodynamic parameters effectively. less adverse reactions were found. CONCLUSION: Panax notoginseng saporins injection is more effective and less adverse reaction than ligustrazine in treating cerebral infarction.
