Abstract
Objective To evaluate the distribution of different types of human papillomavirus(HPV) in cervical cells of patients with cervical diseases in Shenyang district,to explore the effect of various HPV types on cervical neoplasia. Methods HybriMax assay was used to detect 21 subtypes of HPV infection in cervical cells of 1 001 outpatient women. Results Among 946 women with abnormal cytological results,479 were HPV positive, with a rate of 50.63%,there was significant difference between groups cervical disease and normal. All of 29 cervical cancer patients were HPV positive.Among the HPV infected patients,20 subtypes of HPV were detected except subtype 43.The most common HPV subtype was HPV-16(with an infected ratio of 23.15%),followed by subtypes 58,52,CP8304,33,53.The rate of multiple HPV infection, increasing with the severity of cervical disease, was significantly higher in women with cervical neoplasia than in those with normal cytological results. Conclusion The HPV infection rate is 50.63% in cervical cells of women in Shenyang. The common HPV subtypes are 16,58,52,CP8304,33,53.HPV multiple infection may contribute to cervical cancer.
