Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore the curative effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP)on cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) infected with high risk human papillomavirus(HPV).METHODS A total of 125 women with high risk human papillomavirus(HPV) infection and CINⅡ/Ⅲ confirmed by histology were treated by LEEP.Six months later,HPV load was measured by Hybird Capture 2(HC_2) system again.RESULTS In 52 CINⅡ cases with LEEP treatment,8 cases were cutting edge positive cases,4 cases(50.0%)were still HC_2 positive after six months;and 44 cutting edge cases negative,2 cases were still HC_2 positive with the positive rate of 4.5%.In 73 CINⅢ cases after LEEP treatment, there were 10 cutting edge positive cases(60.0%),5 cases still HC_2 positive after six months;and 63 cutting edge cases negative,3 cases were still HC_2 positive with the positive rate of 4.7%.CONCLUSION LEEP is the effective treatment of cervical lesion and can significantly decrease the HPV infection at cervix. After LEEP therapy,HPV persistence infection is relate to LEEP cutting edge positive.
