Abstract
Functional gastrointestinal disorders(FGIDs) include functional dyspepsia(FD) and irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).In recent years,increasing evidences have shown that psychological factor plays an important role in the pathogenetic process of FGIDs.Antidepressants as a therapy for FGIDs have been widely used in clinical practice.In contrast to standard-dose,low-dose antidepressants have the advantage of equivalence in therapeutic efficacy,less sideeffect and high compliance.This article reviewed the advances in study on antidepressants for treatment of FGIDs.
