Abstract

Aesthetic Modernityis one aspects of that is a general concept defining the characteristics of modern culture,the experience of modern living and the ideology of modern society,etc..Investigating theories about aesthetic modernity made by Baudelaire,Bell,Habermas and Calinescu,this paper develops its argument that the concept 'Aesthetic Modernity' is used to describe those changing characteristics and phenomena resulted from the notion of the autonomy of art and the aestheticization of culture since the late 18th century.
