Imperial Examination and Transformation of Social Tradition in the Qing Dyasty——Taking "Historical Literature on Imperial Examination in the Mid-late of Qian-long Period" as Center

In the Qing Dynasty the officials such as the provincial governor and the literary chancellor had the obligation to rectify the habitual practice of scholars and vitalize the style of writing.The Emperor required them to report the condition of the regular recruitment and the provincial examination by palace memorial.The palace memorial in Qian-long period preserved such materials.In Qing Dynaty rectifying the habitual practice of scholars and vitalizing the style of writing were looked as transformation of social traditions.Which was especially emphasized by Emperor Qian-long the aim was to bring imperial examinations and scholars' behaviour into the category of the state political culture.
