Abstract
The metaphase chromosome of Oedipodidae was prepared from kidney by colchicine injection and method of BSG(Bariumhydroxide/Saline/Giemsa)adopted for C-banding staining and air dried.The karyotype was analyzed.The C-banding karyotypes of Oedaleus manjius Chang and Oedaleus abruptus(Thunberg)in Oedaleus in Guangxi were studied.According to the result of the test,there was obvious difference on individual size,sex chromosome,intercalary and telomere band,but there was the same character on chromosome number,sex determination,genome formula,telocentric chromosome and centromeric band.The amount of heterchromatin is similar.The results are consistent with the taxon based on traditional morphology,and provided valuable biochemical and genetic indices for the relative relationship and genetic diversity of Orthoptera.
