Abstract
Objective It is to evaluate the clinic effect of Montelukast on children with difficult asthma. Methods 28 cases of children with difficult asthma were randomly divided into 2 groups. The control group was only treated with GINA prescription, the treatment group was added with Montelukast by oral use for 6 months on the basis of treatment above. Results After 6 months' treatment, there were no differences in the clinical symptom relieving duration and the lung sign disappearing duration between the two groups.Times of recurrent symptoms, average outbreak duration and average satisfaction score in treatment group were all higher than that in the control group(P0.01).In treatment group, lung function such as FVC,FEV1,PFVC,PFEV1 were significantly improved in the treatment group,PD20-FEV1 was significantly improved from(2.97±1.36) μmol/L to(7.58±1.43) μmol/L,airway hyperreactivity(AHR) was reduced to a lower rank.In the control group, the lung function were not significantly improved,PD20-FEV1 was improved from(3.12±1.55) μmol/L to(5.51±1.88) μmol/L(P0.01).There was no difference in lung function between the two groups after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Montelukast can reduce the times of recurrent symptoms and average outbreak duration, and can increase the lung function and average patient's satisfaction, and reduce AHR to a lower rank.
