Abstract

Objective With the advance of imaging technology, ultrasound has been used for the screening examination of breast cancer. This study aimed to investigate the value of ultrasound-guided automatic biopsy(USGAB) in the diagnosis of breast tumors. Methods We compared the results of pathological examination and USGAB with those obtained by surgery in 60 cases of breast tumors.ResultsThe results of USGAB conformed to those of pathological examination in 58(96.7%) of the cases,of which 50 were confirmed to be breast cancer by molecular biology, and the other 8 diagnosed as benign masses. Conclusion USGAB,as a safe, accurate and efficient method, has a significant clinical application value in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of breast tumors.
