Abstract

Objective:To assess the clinical efficacy of Tongbi 2nd Mixture in the treatment of patients with rheumatoid arthritis ( RA). Methods:With a randomized controlled method,60 cases of RA patients were divided into Tongbi 2nd Mixture in treated group ( 40 cases) ,methotrexate ( MTX) in control group ( 20 cases) ,During a 3-month period,to observe the changes in DAS28-scores to assess the clinical efficacy of Tongbi 2nd Mixture. Results:The total effective rate was no significant difference between the two groups ( P 0. 05) ,the DAS-28 scores was no significant difference ( P 0. 05) ,but the improvement in specific functional areas ( tender joint count, swollen joint count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate ( ESR) ,C -reactive protein ( CRP) ) ,the treated group was significantly better than the control group ( P 0. 05). Conclusion:The Tongbi 2nd Mixture has improved the joint function and reduce the inflammation indicators, and reduced the disease activity with the efficacy of anti-inflammatory analgesic.
