The Sad Humanistic Melody of "Clan" by Zhang Wei

Chang Wei's novel Clan, with its background of the historical course of 20th century, reflects the circumstances of people of our country, especially that of intellectuals, through displaying historical fragments, eliciting reconsideration of Chinese history of 20th century in order to find the root of the sad inevitable destiny of the Chinese people in the 20th century.
