A preliminary study on the military medical insurance system in the Qing Dynasty

The Qing Dynasty attached comparatively more importance to military medical insurance system.Medical officers were sent to the front for the treatment of the sick and wounded when being outside Shanhaiguan pass.Medical insurance system was established gradually and wounds and diseases were actively prevented and treated in armies after being inside Shanhaiguan pass,based on which Xiang-Huai Army and the New Army in their middle and late periods constantly developed and initially established modernized military medical insurance system.
