On the Ethnic Integration and Its Teaching Practice——Focus on the History Teaching in Junior High Schools

Since ancient times,China is a united multi-ethnic country.In Chinese history,there were ethnic contradictions,ethnic separations,and even ethnic wars.However,ethnic solidarity and ethnic integration was still the main stream of the whole history.During the long term exchanges,all ethnic groups of China have built a strong ethnic sentiment which was characterized by sharing weal and woe as well as supporting each other in difficult times.By doing so,Chinese people became a unified and diversified people in general sense.Among the contents of middle school history textbooks,ethnic integration is absolutely one of the most important parts of the history teaching.Since the New Curriculum Reform in 2001,ethnic integration actually has played a prominent role in the middle school history teaching.Therefore,it will be very significant to strengthen the teaching of relevant contents.As a result,students will realize the importance of ethnic integration,reinforce their sense of ethnic pride and foster a strong patriotic spirit as well.
