Abstract
Objective: To evaluate of clinical effect of the combined use of Nitrendipine with Metoprolol in treating patients with level I and II hypertension. Methods: 92 patients with level I and II hypertension were randomly divided into 3 groups: group A(31 patients) took 10mg of Nitrendipine,2~3 times a day;group B(31 patients) received the treatment of 25 mg~50 mg of Metoprolol,2 times a day;while group C(30 patients) received the treatment of taking 10 mg of Nitrendipine and 12.5 mg ~ 25 mg of Metoprolol 2 times a day. Then, the dose of drug was adjusted based on the level of the blood pressure, which was controled under the level of 140/90 mmHg(1 mmHg = 0.133 ksPa) to the greatest extent. The course of treatment is 6 weeks without exception. Results: The effect of lowering blood pressure, the slow down of the heart rate and the decreased systolic pressure and diastolic pressure in Group C were greater than those in Group A and Group B(P0.05);the incidence of drug adverse reactions was lower than that of Group A and Group B(P0.05).Conclusion: The Decompression effect of Nitrendipine and Metoprolol has been confirmed.Besides, they are safe in use and economical.
