Abstract
In this paper, the background of decarboxylation of sour crude oil is described, the advantages and shortcomings of various kinds of removing naphthenic acid technologies including extraction using solvents, adsorption separation, thermal decomposition, alkali wash,metal-oxide,esterification,non-hydrocatalysis,hydrogenation,etc. ,are analyzed and compared.Study on removing naphthenic acid from crude oil by hydrogenating in Fushun Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals is introduced, the results showed that deacidification rate can reach 95%,meanwhile,properties of crude oil have been greatly improved at the mild condition.
