Abstract
The trial of 5 mainstream insecticides against Spodoptera exigua Hubner through the laboratory toxicity and field trials were studied. The results showed that the best choices in the Spodoptera exigua chemical control was 10% Chlorfenapyr EC.It showed a good efficiency to the best armyworm control with 92.11%.Then 2.5% Spinosad SC was a kind of insecticide which effect was not so well as 10% Chlorfenapyr with the armyworm control of 85.49%.However 2% Avermectins EC,4.5% Beta cypermethrin EC and 48% Chlorpyrifos EC had poor effect in control of Spodoptera exigua, and should be used carefully.
