Abstract

We evaluated the field control efficiency of five insecticides on larvae of Spodoptera exigua Hubner. The results showed that 5% chlorantraniliprole suspension concentrate(SC),10% chlorfenapyr SC and 15% indoxacarb SC had best rapid and durable effects among the five kinds of insecticides, with the control efficiency of 84.19%-89.66% at one day after the treatments carried out and the control efficiency of 94.52%-97.76% at seven days after the treatments implemented. While 5% emamectin-benzoate water dispersible granule(WDG) had common rapid effect but good durable effect, with the control efficiency of 69.58% and 94.65% at one day and seven days after the insecticide applied.40% chlorpyrifos emulsifiable concentrate(EC) had the worst rapid and durable effects, with the control efficiency of 57.18% and 78.72% at one day and seven days after the insecticide applied respectively.
