The rebuild auricle with Medpor on expanded skin flap of the mastoid process area

Abstract

Objective To study on the method and results on the rebuild auricle with Medpor on expanded skin flap of the mastoid process area.Methods Thirty-six cases with congenital vestigial auricles:Ⅰstage,put the 50ml kidney skin parenchyma dilater under the auricle mastoid process area for 3～5 months.Ⅱ stage,the skin flap covers the Medpor's surface to rebuild the new auricle.Results All 36 cases are successful:good blood supply,normal colour,good third dimension and vivid shape.Conclusion It shows that using the expanded skin flap of the mastoid process area is a feasible and key step for the rebuild auricle opration.
