Abstract
Gas blowing device was added according to the structure and the operating parameters of No.4 continuous casting tundish of Baosteel.Gas-liquid flow Euler-Euler model has been used to simulate the liquid steel flow and temperature distribution. The result shows that bottom gas blowing have significant influences on the flow field in tundish, which prolongs the route of fluid flow, lengthens the average residence time and enhances the mixture degrees of liquid steel. The gas blowing devices between weir and dam are installed in favor of both the mixing of the velocity of liquid steel and the decrease of volume fraction in dead zone, presenting better metallurgical effect.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
