Abstract

A new kinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace chromium (VI) based on its catalytic of the oxidation product obtain from phosphoric acid-cotton red -potassium bromate system in potassium hydrogenphthalate medium(pH=4.0) in 100℃.The linearrange of the determination is 0~0.06μg·mL~(-1). The detection limit is 7.56×10~(-10)g·mL~(-1).The method has been used to determine trace chromium (VI) in electroplating wasted water samples with satisfactory results.
