Abstract
AIM To analyse distribution and susceptibility test to 193 trains of community-acquired pathogens in infants with lower respiratory tract infection, and provide evidence for the clinical reasonable application of antibiotics and infection control.METHODS From January 2007 to December 2008,pathogens isolated from infants in community-acquired lower respiratory tract infection were evaluated by American Dade Behring Microscan-Walkaway 40 and MICs were determined by combined bacterial identification/medicine sensitive analyzer.Statistical analysis of drug susceptibility results was conducted.RESULTS Pathogens mainly were made up of Klebsislla pneumoniae,Escherichia coli,Pseudomonas aeruginasa and Staphylococcus aureus, which accounted for 82.5% of the total number of detected. They were more resistant to penicillins and cephalosporins, but were sensitive to aminoglycosides, quinolones and β-lactamse inhibitors antibiotics. They were fewer resistant to more antibacterials than those from middle-and old aged patients with community-acquired lower respiratory tract infection and from hospital infected patients with lower respiratory tract infection.CONCLUSION Community-acquired pathogens in infants with lower respiratory tract infection are common opportunistic pathogens.Clinician may select β-lactamse inhibitors antibiotics to control infection firstly.
