Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between c-reactive protein and unstable plaques of carotid atherosclerosis in ischemic cerebrovascular patients. Methods 112 cases are divided into 3 groups according to their carotid ultrasonic examination:normal, stable plaque, unstable plaque;compare their plasma CRP concentrations and compare their infarction countings by CT.Results There is significant difference in their plasma CRP concentration between the three groups. Conclusion There's a positive relationship between inflammation and unstable plaques of carotid atherosclerosis in ischemic cerebrovascular diseases.CRP can be prediction to the instability of carotid atherosclerosis.
