Abstract
[Objective] To observe the protective effects of clove wei ling mixture(CWLM) on the mucosa of chronic atrophic gastritis in rats.[Methods] Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group,chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG) group,CWLM low-dose group,CWLM middle-dose group and CWLM high-dose Group.CAG model was established in Wistar rats by synthetical method:sodium salicylate was given every day orally,free drink ammonia,with irregular diet animal model for 8 weeks,and the normal control rats were given normal saline.Drug intervention began after being made model 2 months,CAG rats were treated with CWLM 16g/kg d,8g/kg d and 4g/kg d,respectively.After 50 days,all the rats were anesthetized and the levels of Gas and SS in sera were measured with ELISA and Bax expression in gastric mucosa was detected with immunohistochemistry.[Results] Compared to normal control group,the level of SS in the CAG group was significantly higher,but the level of Gas and the expression of Bax were significantly lower(P0.01).Compared to CAG group,the level of SS was lower,but the level of Gas and the expression of Bax in three treatment groups were higher significantly(P0.01 or P0.05).[Conclusion] CWLM has beneficial effect for treatment of CAG in rats,which maybe related to increasing of Gas and Bax with decreasing of SS.
