Abstract
The liner car-following model is used to analyze the distance, speed and acceleration between the adjacent vehicles running on the segments. The lane-changing behavior is determined by comparing the multi-lane time headway and the single-lane time headway derived from the theory mentioned above. Thus the basic rules about lane-change and route choice are achieved, which will be significant for the decision-making of traffic management.
