Abstract
A new technology was put forward of grafting vinyl acetate and starch acetate with high degrees of substitution copolymerized to prepare a kind of biodegradable material. The factors affecting the reaction was studied, and the results show the grafting degree and efficiency are higher under the following optimal conditions:using 0 01 mol/L ammonium peroxysulfate as initiator, and 2 1 mol/L monomer, reacting under 45℃ for 130 min.The technology greatly improves technological efficiency of graft compared with that using pure starch
