Abstract

Where there is cultivated land there are grain crops and where there are enough grain yields there is enough food. Therefore, protection of cultivated land is of vital significance to secure food supply. In China, however, the present situation of cultivated land troubles us a lot: the cultivated area is dwindling away and the land quality is under deterioration. The main reason lies in that the legal system of cultivated land protection is not perfect. As such, this article puts forward, from the angle of non-agricultural construction land,educational-purpose land and protection of the quality of cultivated land, some specific proposals to improve the legal system of protection of cultivated land and urges three basic understandings.
