Treatment of H-UPPP on obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy reserved uvula uvulopalatopharyngoplasty(H-UPPP) in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods According to the results of preoperative localization,30 OSAHS patients with multi-planar H-UPPP treatment before and after treatment apnea hypopnea index(AHI),lowest oxygen saturation(SaO2),sleep parameters and Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS).Results The postoperative 1-year cure rate of 30%,effective rate of 56.7%,the effective rate was 10%,with a total effective rate of 96.7%after 6 months and 1 year AHI,minimum SaO2 and ESS the sleepiness score compared with surgery before significant improvement(P0.01).Conclusions The application of H-UPPP surgery OSAHS treatment has curative effect,postoperative pharyngeal near normal anatomy,patients with fewer complications and therefore easy to accept,worthy of application.
