Analysis of the Concepts of Fever and Fever of Unknown Origin

Abstract

This paper analyzes the basic concepts of fever and fever of unknown origin(FUO),and introduces clinical characteristics of 4 FUO subtypes: Classic FUO,nosocomial FUO,neutropenic FUO and HIV associated FUO.The diagnosis strategy and etiology distribution characteristics of classic FUO were also discussed,which may be instructive for the diagnosis and treatment of related fever diseases.
