Abstrcat Based on GIS technique and combined some recent achievements in engineering seismology and seismic disaster prediction and evaluation, the Earthquake Disaster Prediction and Evaluation System in Sichuan Province is developed. The system can predict and evaluate the damage of buildings, toll of casualty, homeless people and economic losses efficiently after a strong earthquake occurred in Sichuan Province. The results can be taken as the basis of emergency response for each level governments and related departments.
