Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the influence of devascularization on the portal venous flow and thrombosis of portal vein after liver transplantation.[Methods]The clinical data of 194 patients underwent liver transplantation were retrospectively analyzed.28 of the 174 patients with portal hypertension underwent devascularization at different times before liver transplantation as devascularization group. And another 146 patients were chosen as control group.Portal venous flow, thrombosis of portal vein and liver function were analyzed.[Results]The rate of thrombosis of portal vein of devascularization group before liver transplantation was 32.14%(9/28),and 10.27%(15/146) in the control group. The rate of thrombosis of portal vein of devascularization group after liver transplantation was 7.14%(2/28),and 0.68%(1/146) in the control group.Portal venous flow in the devascularization group and control group were 1 320±55 mL/min vs 1130±36 mL/min(P =0.04) after liver transplantation. There was no statistically significant difference in the liver function between the two groups after liver transplantation.[Conclusion]The rate of thrombosis of portal vein in the devascularization group was high before and after liver transplantation.
