Abstract
【Objective】 To study the Association between Hp infection and the changes of anorectal motility and rectal sensation in the patients with ulcerative colonitis(UC).【Methods】 63 patients with ulcerative colonitis underwent a C14-urea breath test and histopathology for Hp and were divided two groups according to investigate results(Hp infection group and no Hp infection group).Anorectal motility and rectal sensation were investigated by Medtronic PC-Polygraf HR made by Sweden.25 healthy subjects(HS) were put in controlled group.【Results】 ① When abdominal pressure was increased, the net increased pressure of anal sphincter was(3.1±1.0)KPa in Hp infection group,(3.0±0.8)KPa in no Hp infection group. They were lower than that in HS(3.6±1.6 Kpa)(P 0.05).②The rectal lowest volume of sensory threshold, the maximal volume of tolerance and maximal compliance were(68.2±39.4) mL,(170±59.8)mL,(26.1±12.6)ml/KPa in Hp infection group,(60.3±40.3)mL,(160.6±49.3)mL,(23.3±10.1)ml/KPa in no Hp infection group. They were lower than those in HS(80± 38)mL,(190±50)mL,(30.8±15.2)ml/Kpa,P 0.01 and P 0.05).③ At the static pressure, the pressure of anal sphincter, the maximal squeeze pressure of anal sphincter, the net increased pressure of anal sphincter when abdominal pressure was increased, the net decreased pressure of anal sphincter when defaecation was imitated, there were no marked differences between the Hp infection group and no Hp infection group(P 0.05).The rectal lowest volume of sensory threshold, the maximal volume of tolerance and maximal compliance in no Hp infection group were lower than those in Hp infection group(P 0.05).【Conclusion】 ① Higher sensitivity, lower tolerance, lower compliance of rectum and weakened anal automatic control function in UC may be associated with diarrhea and frequent defecation.② There were no any association between Hp infection and anorectal motility in the patients with UC.Hp infection increases rectal lowest volume of sensory threshold, maximal volume of tolerance and maximal compliance in the patients with UC.Hp infection may have a protetive effect in the patients with UC.
