Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect and safety of intravenous Amiodarone and Pmpafenone in treating elderly patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT).Methods:60 patients of PSVT were randomly divided into two groups; intravenous Amiodarone group (n=32) and intravenous Pmpofenone group(n=28).Efficacy and adverse effect were observed. Results:The termination rate of PSVT was 87.50% in Amiodarone group and 78.57% in Pmpafenone group, showing no significant difference (P0.05).The time of heart beat recovery in Amiodarone group were (18.24±3.08)min.and (8.50±1.73)min.in Propafenone-group with difference of sitatistical significance(P0.05 ).The incidence rates of side effect were 21.88% and 28.57% respectively with significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Administration of Amiodarone and Pmpafenone is efficient were safe in the treatment of PSVT.
