Abstract

Objective To observe the relationship between 24h ambulatory blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy in essential hypertension patients. Methods All 80 essential hypertensive patients were randomly divided into LVH group and non-LVH group and accepted 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Results The levels of 24hMSP,dMSP,nMSP,24hSBPL,24hDBPL,nSBPL,nDBPL and dSBPL in LVH group were higher than those in non-LVH group(P0.01).Conclusion The occurrence of hypertension left ventricular hypertrophy not only relates with degree of blood pressure step-up,but also relates with the times of blood pressure exceed normal value(blood pressure loading) and change of blood pressure day-night rhythm.
