Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of MMP-2and TIMP-2in lung carcinoma tissue and their sig-nificances.Methods:The expression of MMP-2and TIMP-2was detected in74lung carcinoma tissues and20para-cancerous normal lung tissues by immunhistochemical method. Results:The expression of MMP-2in lung car-cinoma tissues was significantly higher than that in para-cancerous normal lung tissues(P0.01).The expression of MMP-2was significantly higher in lung carcinomas with lymph node metastasis than in lung carcinomas without lymph node metastasis(P0.01),was significantly higher in stage-Ⅲand stage-Ⅳtumours than in stage-Ⅰand stage-Ⅱtumous(P0.05).The expression of TIMP-2was significantly lower in lung carcinomas with lymph node metastasis than in lung carcinomas without lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Conclusions:The expression of MMP-2and TIMP-2is closely correlated with invasion and metastasis of lung carcinoma.
