Abstract

Objective To study the value of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide in diagnosis and efficacy of pulmonary heart disease with right heart failure. Methods Fifty patients of pulmonary heart disease with right heart failure were random setected as experimental group.Thirty patients with pulmonary heart disease without right heart failure were served as control group. The plasma mass concentrations of NT-proBNP of experiwental group、control group and experimental group's heart failure after correction were detected by electro chemiluminescence immunoassay. Results The plasma mass concentrations of experimental group's is significantly higher than control group's(P0.001). After the experimental group's heart failure is corrected, the plasma mass concentrations of NT-proBNP is significantly decreased, compared with before treatment P0.001, The difference was statistically significant. There was linear regression relationship between NT-proBNP and PaO2(r=0.953, P0.01), without relationship with PaCO2. Conclusion plasma NT-proBNP can be used to evaluate the heart function of patients with pulmonary heart disease, and are useful tools for diagnosis and efficacy of pulmonary heart disease with right heart failure.
