Abstract

Critical linguistics advocate the analysis of the discourse,especially the public discourse.It is in order to heighten language awareness and ability to appreciate language.The basic of critical discourse analysis is Functional Linguistics,and it is from classification、transitivity、modality、transformation to find ideology sense.This paper makes critical discourse analysis of thematic slogans of Olympic Games from 1984 to 2004 in order to find the ideology sense.
