Abstract

Power and ideology are the main focuses of critical discourse analysis,which is to enhance people's awareness of language and to dig out the hidden things behind language.It is based on the Halliday's functional grammar.This paper makes a critical discourse analysis of the Olympic theme songs from 1984 to 2012 to reveal the power and ideology.
