Hydropower Development and Its Characteristic of Lancang River Basin

This paper describes the features of hydropower developments in the Lancang River basin,Yunnan Province,Southwest China.Suggestions have been derived from the approach taken in hydropower developments of Lancang River basin such as to emphasize the primary reservoir and cascade development of lower reach hydropower stations.Extensive discussion on domestic hydropower development has been made with some expected influence to facilitate the hydropower development of the river basins.
