Abstract
Based on the dynamics of a gear system,considering characters of gear drive system,varying mesh stiffness,gear backlash and damping ratio,a model of the nonlinear gear system is developed.The nonlinear vibration is studied by using Duhamel's integrating and variable step size Runge-kutta numerical simulation methods in some parameter fields.
