Abstract

【Objective】To investigate the pathogenesis of spontaneous abortion during early gestation by detecting expression of progesterone receptor(PR) and regulating proteins related apoptosis such as p53,Bax and Bcl-2 in decidua tissue of spontaneous abortion.【Methods】The decidua specimens were obtained from 23 cases with early spontaneous abortion and 22 cases with normal early pregnancy(control group) by curettage in the General Hospital of Air Force. The expression of PR, p53,Bax and Bcl-2 protein in decidua tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry.【Results】The expression of PR and Bcl-2 protein in decidua tissue of spontaneous abortion group decreased significantly(P0.01) compared with those in decidua tissue of control group. The expression of p53 and Bax protein in decidua tissue of spontaneous abortion group increased significantly(P0.01) compared with those in decidua tissue of control group.【Conclusion】 The abnormal expression of PR and regulating proteins related apoptosis such as p53,Bax and Bcl-2 in decidua tissue may play synergistic roles in the pathogenesis of spontaneous abortion.
