Clinical Experience of TCM Comprehensive Therapy in Treatment of Vertebral Artery Type Cervical Spondylosis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of JingJian decoction combined with thermal moxibustion and cervical collar for the treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis.Methods:60patients of cervical spondylosis in accordance with the inclusion criteria were randomly assigned to treatment group(n=30)treated with TCM comprehensive therapy and control group(n=30)treated with flunarizine orally.The treatment lasted 2weeks.According to the improvement of clinical symptoms and hemorheological changes of vertebrobasilar artery measured by transcranial Doppler,the curative effect was evaluated and the data were analyzed statistically.Results:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.7%.It was significantly higher than that of the control group which was 80%(P0.05).Moreover,the treatment group is superior to the control group in many aspects such as increasing blood flow of the vertebral artery,improving cerebral blood supply and long-term effect.Conclusion:TCM comprehensive therapy of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis has notable curative effect,and also it is economic and convenient.It is worthy of promotion and application in the clinic.
