The clinical application value of the reticulocytes parameters in children anemia

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical application value of the reticulocytes(RET) parameters in children anemia.Methods RET parameters were analyzed using Coulter LH750 in 120 healthy children and 118 anemia children with different anemia types.Results There were significant difference(P0.05) among the different anaemia groups in percentage of RET(RET%),RET absolute value(RET#),high light scatter reticulocyte absolute value(HLR #),percentage of high light scatter reticulocyte(HLR%) and pedo-reticulocyte index(IRF).The HLR% of hemolytic anemia,hemorrhagic anemia,renal anaemia,iron deficiency anemia,leukemia and aplastic anemia was 4.02±1.46、2.29±0.87、0.46±0.22、0.50±0.23、0.49±0.25 and 0.38±0.18 individually;and the IRF was 0.56±0.11、0.44±0.13、0.25±0.06、0.26±0.06、0.25±0.05 and 0.18±0.0.Conclusion RET parameters can be of great clinically significance in diagnosis and treatment of childrent anaemia.
