Abstract

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT) examination in acute superior mesenteric artery embolism after establishing canine's models.Methods ①MSCT angiography(MSCTA) was performed before embolization.②After successfully punctured into the femoral artery through seldinger's technique,DSA was performed;then,absolute ethanol was selectively injected into the superior mesenteric artery(SMA) for embolization and DSA followed.③MSCTA was performed after embolization.④The MSCTA images were reconstructed on work-station by the best techniques.⑤The images of DSA and MSCTA were analyzed and contrasted.Results The canine's models of acute superior mesenteric artery embolism were successfully established.Both DSA and MSCTA examination displayed superior mesenteric artery and its embolism clearly.Conclusion The models of acute superior mesenteric artery embolism can be established by seldinger's technique;MSCTA examination can diagnose acute superior mesenteric artery embolism early.
