Abstract
Objective To observe the diagnostic value of MSCTA in acute superior mesenteric artery(SMA) embolization of canines.Methods Six mongrel dogs were selected to establish the models of acute superior mesenteric artery embolization.DSA and MSCTA were performed before and after embolization.MSCT images were reconstructed using MIP and VRT.Taking findings of DSA as gold standard,the sensitivity and specificity of MIP and VRT were calculated and compared.Results The models of acute superior mesenteric artery embolization were successfully established in all 6 canines.Both SMA and grade 2 branches were displayed clearly.The sensitivity of MIP and VRT was 96.40% and 92.85%,respectively,and the specificities were both 90.50%.No statistical difference was found between MIP and VRT.Conclusion MSCTA is simple and accurate,able to be used for diagnosing acute superior mesenteric arterial embolization.
