Analysis of Epidemiological and Clinical Characteristics of 67 Patients with Adult-measles

Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical data of 67 patients with adult-measles and to evaluate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of adult-measles.Methods The clinical data of 67 patients with adult-measles was analyzed retrospectively.Results 67 patients with measles were involved in this study(39 males and 28 females).The gender rate is 1.39∶1 and average age is about 32.1.There were 39 peasants,28 workers or officials.The peak of the incidence of disease emerged in April and June(40.30%),especially from November 2000 to October 2004.There were 58 patients(86.57%) who had the fever that beyond 39 ℃ and 18 patients(26.87%) who had viral hepatitis.Conclusions There is a trend that measles usually be seen from April to June.Meanwhile,serious toxemic symptoms and liver damage can be observed.
