Abstract
Objective To study the effect of Pingfeng Gujin Granule (PFGJG) on the immune function in mice. Methods The effect of PFGJG on the immune function in mice was determined by detecting the proliferation of spleen lymphocytes, the production of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) and the activity of natural killer (NK) cell. Results These immune parameters differed significantly between PFGJG group and control groups, and the effect of PFGJG obviously exceeded that of Yupingfeng Granule. Conclusion PFGJG can evidently induce the proliferation of spleen lymphocytes, stimulate the production of IL-2 and IL-1 and increase the activity of NK cell in mice, so it has a considerable immune-enhancing effect.
