Abstract
The color reaction of 1-(2.6-dichloro-4-nitrophenyl)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)-triazene(DCNPNPT) with Cu( Ⅱ ) was studied. In the presence of Tween-80, the reagent with Cu( Ⅱ ) forms a yellow complex (1 : 4) at pH 9. 0-10. 0 in a buffer solution of Na2B1O7-NaOH. The molar absorptivity is 1. 1 × 105L · mol-1· cm1 by dual-wavelength spectrophotometry. Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0-240μg · L-1 for Cu( Ⅱ). The copper contents in copper mineral and water were determined by this method with satisfactory results.
