Abstract

Objective To study the anti-fatigue effect of Xingbaopill on mice. Methods KM mice were randomly assigned to control group,Nan-bao capsule group, low dose, middle dose and high dose experimental groups of Xingbaopill according to body weights.Xingbaopill were administered in experimental groups at doses of 57,114,342 mg/kg.The control and Nan-bao groups were given water and Nan-bao capsule at dose of 750 mg/kg.After 30 days, the swimming test were carried out and the death time was observed and recorded. The liver glycogen, blood urea nitrogen and the areas under the curve of serum lactic-acid were also measured. Results Xingbaopill and Nanbao capsule could significantly prolong swimming time, increas the liver glycogen storage and reduc the areas under the curve of lactic-acid after swimming, but had no significant effect on reducing blood urea nitrogen level compared with the control group. Conclusion Xingbaopill can alleviate physical fatigue in mice.
