Abstract

Objective To investigate expression of P53,C-erbB-2,ER and PR in breast cancer and its clinical pathological significance. Methods Immunohistochemistry for P53, C-erbB-2,ER and PR was performed on 75 specimens of breast cancer as well as breast benign lesion with S-P method. Results Of the 75 cases of breast cancer, the positive rates of staining for P53, C-erbB-2,ER and PR were as follows, respectively: 60%,70%,85%,80% in simple carcinoma;33.3%,55.6%,44.4%,44.4% in intraductal carcinoma;66.7%,72.2%,72.2%,66.7% in infiltrating ductal carcinoma;50%,66.7%,50%,50% in mutinous carcinoma; 57.1%, 71.1%, 71.1%, 57.1% in medullar carcinoma;0%,33.3%,46.7%,40% in benign breast lesions. There was significant difference between the positive rates of breast cancer and benign lesions (P0.05),while no significant difference between infiltrating and non-infiltrating cancer(P0.05). Conclusion The detection of the expression of P53, C-erbB-2 gene combined with ER,PR is favorable to evaluate the biological behavior of breast cancer and may be used as a reference to the postoperative therapy.
